Introduced to Digital Fabrication and Rapid Prototyping while completing my Masters in Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP, I refined my skills and understanding of the technology while working at Associated Fabrication.
I spent three years with AF, serving as designer, fabrication engineer, shop manager, production manager, fabricator, and installer. This provided me with a uniquely in depth knowledge of digital fabrication projects from design to installation. We specialized in 3 Axis CNC milling and 3D surface thermoforming of corian and other solid surface materials.

The Cirrus is cloud made into form. An experimental seating sculpture designed for the CAC exhibition Form, Contemporary Architects At Play help in 2008. The Original Cirrus sold for $250,000 as part of an auction accompanying the show.
At AF we engineered the structure and assembly mechanisms to construct four total Cirrus sculptures now displayed around the world. Each cirrus is constructed with high gloss Formica laminate of split cores of high density ranger board. Digitally aligned dowels and magnets hold the crossing internal and external ribs together.
